I went to New Beginnings with the hope that it would be a program perfect for me. I have been battling addiction for half my life and by the grace of God, I met and became a patient of Dr. Donald Waugh, who had an office in Hingham, ma. I went to my appouintments faithfully and passed all my urines. Unfortunately, Dr. Waugh moved his practice to Chatcham, which became very difficult for me to get there each month but, each and every month I did pass my urines and speak to the doctor.
After a death in my family my support group(siblings) split up. I was the only one who stayed down the south shore. I was putting 2 teenage daughters thru school ( now off to college) working, and I lost my only way of transportation. After discussing it several times with Dr. Waugh I decided to make the move to New Beginnings. I was honest from the get go, I offered any and all information asked and it was used against me. Going into my last appointment, I brought the bottle of a medication i was prescribed months , months ago. it was by a doctor that was seeing me and it was prescribed to me. On Friday night, Sept. 9th, i was restless, I took Ambien so when Saturday came, I went to my appointment , gave a urine and when I was asked how I was doing and I told them my girls are away at college, it was difficult to fall asleep so i took Ambien and I showed them the bottle. Little did I know, I was breaking the rules, being honest played against me, my dose was drastically cut, papers were being giving to me about Benzos and suboxone and I was spoken to like a criminal. I am well aware of the addiction with benzos and suboxone but if you look at my urine and my records i am not prescribed them and i didnt know ambien was considered one. Basically, i left crying, disappouinted in myself feeling like I relapsed and i messed up my sobriety. Since that day I have contaced my original suboxone doctor, Dr. Waugh and asked him to see me, urine me and please take me back as a patient. With that being said, I will no longer be a patient of Dr. Brown |
